Right sided swing Florida Golf lessions Bill Knode's Bio for Right Sided Golf Lessions

About Bill Knodle And The Right Sided Golf Swing.

I began playing golf at the age of five in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After playing golf competitively at Slippery Rock University, I played on the Golden Bear Tour and the Gateway mini-tours for six years in South Florida. I've had the privilege of taking lessons from many of the game's top instructors including Jack Grout, Rick Smith, Rick Martino and Martin Hall. Although I gained a lot of knowledge from each one, they all had different methods of swinging the golf club and it led to a lot of confusion and frustration on my part. I would play great one day and then the next day, if my timing and tempo was off, I would have a poor ball striking round and shoot myself out of the tournament. I wanted to learn a simple, repeatable and easy to maintain swing that I wouldn't need to work on four to five hours a day to be consistent.

In 2004, I saw Gary Edwin and Gavin Coles on the Golf Channel's Academy Live program. I was so intrigued by the methodology and concepts of Gary's teaching in this "Right Sided Swing". It seemed so simple and repeatable because there were so little moving parts. He just got his players to get their body angles correct at the start of the swing and they maintained that "shape" throughout the swing; no big coiling, turning or weight shifting involved. I began to research a little about Gary and found out that all of his players were struggling "pro-am" players who really weren't very competitive in elite competition until they learned the right sided swing and many have become world class, et. Rodney Pampling, Peter Lonard, Jan Stephenson, Gavin Coles and Peter Senior among others. What I liked about watching each one of them was that they all shared the same posture and had the same "shape" at the start but they all had their own look during the swing.

Since Gary in based in Australia, I inquired about how I could get a lesson in the U.S. As luck would have it, Gary's son, Luke Edwin was in Orlando for a few weeks and I was able to hook up with him for several lessons. Once I learned the concepts of the swing, my ball striking improved dramatically and my misses were not nearly as bad when playing. Due to the tremendous popularity of the Right Sided Swing in Australia, many teachers were starting to teach Gary's method without really having a good understanding of all the swing concepts. In 2008, Gary and Luke decided to begin an accreditation course for those passionate about the swing who wanted to learn how to instruct others. I completed the accreditation course in January 2009 and I am now a Level II certified GEGAS Right Sided Swing Instructor. There are only three certified instructors in the United States who teach this revolutionary swing. I am so excited to be able to bring it to South Florida and help others learn what I did: Golf doesn't have to be frustrating and difficult, it can be fun again. Just let me teach you our simple concepts and you can be on your way to a lifetime of fun on the golf course.
